Getting Married

After many years on my own l found happiness and was married during covid with all its unusual rules. We could only have 30 guests at our wedding, which actually wasn't all bad!

Here are a couple of layouts featuring lovley Prima flowers, chip board from various companies, one being 2Crafty, Sizzix dies and some fussy cutting using papers from 49 and Market

I used crackle texture paste with a stencil for my background

The chipboard title has a lovely shine due to metalliic paint
The hearts have been rubbed with wax

The chipboards have been painted in pink and glossy accents added

I cut up a vine from 2Crafty, painted in olive and added between my flowers

Thanks for stopping by :)

Playing along at Dusty Attic

Hello there everyone

Today l'm playing along with the Dusty Attic mood board for January
It's really easy, all you have to do is use these beautiful colours in your creation

Here is my layout

My chipboard is from Dusty Attic, paper from 49 and Market Vintage
Artisty Range and flowers from Prima
My background has been stencilled, metallic paint added and some random stamping

I didn't have the right coloured flowers so l painted them, some have metallic paint and others acrylic paint topped with seed and micro beads

I have also added some sea themed embellishments using Prima moulds

My title and photo corners are painted using a blue metallic paint
The photo corners have a touch of Old Silver wax

The 'Love with Passion' is from a Crafters Workshop stencil
I have rubbed Old Silver and Blue Lagoon wax from Finnabair over the top

Thanks for stopping by, until next time.....

Playing along today

Joining in the fun over at More Than Words this month
Their challenge is to use Heart/s and the word Forever, check it out HERE
My inspiration came from the photo of my eldest child graduating year 12. It has been the 3 of us forever now and of course l love both of my children unconditionally. I used chipboard and paper hearts and added some journalling on a tag under my photo

Here is what l came up with
I found a clear overlay of clocks that l used to represent how quickly time flies. It seems like only yesterday that Alana started her school journey.

Lots of flowers, micro beads, sequins, crushed glass and stones
My hearts were covered with Magic Paint, Turquoise with Gold. This comes out as 2 colours when applied. You can see the shimmer it gives, l think it looks pretty cool!
I covered the chipboard clock with black and gold metallic paints
This chipboard has several layers of metallic paint, crystal pearls and micro beads

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

December already!!

Playing along with this months challenge at More Than Words. You have to use 'family' as word inspiration and 'numbers' as the creative challenge

Check out the link HERE to play along.

Most of us usually scrap the happy times, but to me it's all about memories and this is a happy/sad one.
My mum and my daughter have always been really close. Alana visits nana almost every week and they chat about all the goings on in her life.
Unfortunately my mother has vascular dementia and her memory is rapidly declining.
This is such a sad and horrible illness. To see someone who is healthy lose their memory is a shocking thing to go through and so many people are now diagnosed with this illness.

The photo l have chosen is a recent one of the two of them and l thought it fitting for this challenge.

I have used Prima Color Bloom inks on my background - Cotton Candy and Chrome, and coloured the muslin under the frame with the cotton candy.
I have added paint, micro beads and Prills to my flowers
My chipboard leaves were painted and rubbed with metallic gold
The heart chipboard was done in the same way as the leaves using  2 paint colours - white and pink, then l added the metallic gold and micro beads

I have applied the same techniques to my title and number
I finished my layout with black and white ink splatters

My journalling is hidden and explains my mum's illness and the special bond between her and my daughter.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your day!

It's been a while

Wow l have been missing in action for a while!!
Today l am playing along with a couple of challenge sites.

The first one is More Than Words and my layout was based on their November challenge of wood grain and outdoors. You can check them out HERE.

I used a wood grain paper and the photo was my inspiration for the outdoors. This was the first time my sister's son had seen snow on a weekend away, and he was in awe of everything white. They even made a snowman! How wonderful to show your kids a different environment to the one they live in.

 Some close ups
I have stenciled on my background, added thread and ink splatters. All my chipboard has been inked in black and them embossed in black

 Papers, journal card - Prima
Flowers - Prima
Chipboard - Creative Embellishments, Blue Fern Studios
Ink - Dylusions
Liquid Pearls

I have also joined in over at My Creative Scrapbook and used their November sketch as inspiration for my layout. You can check them out HERE

My pictures are from a recent trip to Bali where we experienced quad biking through rice fields, down dirt tracks, though steams of water and on a beach with black sand. It was an awesome afternoon!

I have stamped and inked my background, added Stickles, flowers, and followed their sketch which you can see below

Here is the sketch to follow

Paper - Scrapberry
Ink - Dylusions
Stamps - Technique Tuesday
Stickles, flowers
