HOME CHALLENGE

This is the sketch to be used incorporating the word "HOME" that l have done for Once Upon a Sketch

And here is my layout

I used a couple of  Heidi Swapp masks to make my back ground and then layered 3 doilies that were inked and then threaded ribbon through. I also added a selection of flowers to match the colour theme, cut a bling swirl up and added some stickers from Kaiser that l mounted onto cardboard. The word cards are from Echo Park, This & That Collection which l added some cross stitches to add some more dimension

My Creative Scrapbook Sketch

It's a new sketch over at MCS and as usual the prize is awesome. They really do give the most wonderful giveaways, Pam is extra generous.
So to the sketch...


Here is what l did this month using the very pretty Echo Park papers and embellishments

And here are some close ups. I did lots of layering, added liquid pearl drops to the pink circles, some distressing,tearing and stitching and misted the top paper. The tag at the top right of the page holds my journalling.

Bird is the Word Challenge

I managed to fit in another layout last week and play along with the latest word over at BITW - CHARM.
The picture of Tom was taken of him dressed to kill for his Year 12 formal. I think he looks gorgeous ( not biased or anything), so the current word was really appropriate for this picture.

Did some fussy cutting and sanding of these Glitz papers, added some Kaiser pearls and Prima flowers. I also sanded the edge of the photo as l really like the look it gives.

My Minds Eye Sketch Challenge

Thought l would have a go this month as l found these MME papers that l hadn't used and l love the colour combinations

This was the sketch to use as as starting base and here is my take on it

Here are some close ups
I did some machine stitching and cut the border strips from the papers edge to make banner like strips
Used those lovely flocked letters and some matching brads
Also painted a chip boards frame for some dimension

MCS Prima Sketch

 This is the sketch on My Creative Sketches for their Prima giveaway this month. On my layout l used some pics taken of a winter display in Las Vegas. The papers were Crate and Basic Grey. I misted some paper doilies, glittered up the chip board cage and leaves and coated the chip board circle from in a glaze paint. Most of the flowers are from Prima. The tiny pearls are from Kaiser. I bought a new Martha Stewart punch and this was used to create the fancy edge on the brown paper.

I found this gorgeous picture of Alana back when she was almost a toddler.
At BITW they have LOVE as a word to be used in a  layout, so l thought this was an appropriate photo to use for the theme.

I used Crate papers and embellishments and Prima flowers from February's main kit from MCS

This is the latest word to use on your layout over at Bird is the Word.
My pictures were taken at a Disney parade and althougth the photos are not the best, the memories we have of that time are magical.

Well its raining again and predicted for tomorrow so l am going to scrap on my days off from work.
I have some new papers to use from Crate, Bo Bunny, MME and LYB. Let the fun begin :)
