Adding Dimension, a Sketch plus more

Cutting and layering up elements from patten paper is not only popular in scrapbooking, but its also easy, and adds an effective element to your page.

First l cut some flowers from my PP

Then with liquid pearls l outlined the petals and layered different sizes to create some depth

The latest sketch is up at My Creative Sketches

Last month l was the winner, and as usual the prize was awesome, so it's well worth entering.
Here is my take on the above sketch

The papers are from Simple Stories and flowers from Prima. My journalling is on a tag tucked under my photo. Here are some closeups

I have another layout, this time for the challenge over at Scrap for Help
You have to use string, yarn or twine. I made little string button circles that l scattered on my page

The papers and embellishments are from Carta Bella and Teresa Collins, flowers from Prima and Manorhouse. Journalling is once again on a tag tucked under my photo. The peacock is outlined to add some dimension.

White, Aqua and Red

I have done a layout for the current challenge at White with 1
The colours to be used are white, with aqua and red, and a summer photo

I used a mask in the top right corner and added liquid pearls to some of the blocks. I added hand stitching to the distressed papers under my photo. The corner strip was also hand stitched and more liquid pearls were added, l love these.

Scrap The Girls

I have done challenge 3 and challenge 4 currently on at Scrap The Girls

Challenge 3 was to use aqua/white and a neutral colour
The papers below are from MME and LYB
The white circles are done with gesso and l have added glitter to my title lettering from MME

Challenge 4 was to use ribbon, paint/mist, circles, flowers and a number title.

I have used a Prima paper, misted over a butterfly mask and added liquid pearls. To the bird on the bottom right, l have outlined it with glitter glue. My circles are the doillies and paper flower rosettes and l scrunched up my ribbon and placed it under my photo.
My number has been painted and crackled and the flowers are a mix of Manorhouse and Prima.

Thanks for looking

One for the Boys

I thought l would mix it up a bit for this next one.
This is my layout for Scrap The Boys January challenge.
You had to use a photo of your son's favourite holiday/summer activity.

I have added paint, gesso and ink to my background paper. Once this was dry l mixed texture paste and paint together and using a mask, added the red haexagon shapes. The little red dots are liquid pearls and the flowers are a mix of Manorhouse and Prima. The papers are a mix of Prima and Crate.

Here are some close ups
