Scrap the Girls

Only recently did l find this site Scrap the Girls (yes l am a bit behind the times!)
Well anyway for their June Challenge you had to do a layout with photos taken outside and here is mine

The background paper is from Glitz, on top of that is a Prima paper and then a Bo Bunny paper sits under the photo with metal embellishments from the same collection. The butterfies are stickers from Kaiser and the flowers are an assortment l had. I'm loving the colours of the twine that is in the shops lately so l wrapped some around the bottom of my photo.
I added some texture paste over a stencil in the top right corner and then misted it once it was dry.

I cut the scallop circles from a Spellbinders die for my journalling

It's another miserable wet winter's day here, perfect for some scrapping!

Something New

I was excited the other day to see l was featured at My Creative Sketches with my layout entered in their May sketch comp. So now l get something to add to the side of my blog!

This was the layout

I really must get a new camera so my layouts look as good on the computer as they do IRL. l have been taking photos via my phone as my camera is no longer cooperating. LOL
Here is a new layout done using Bo Bunny Country Garden range. This is the sketch for their Layout Challenge for June

Here is my take
I painted some old American Thickers and that were originally green. I added machine stitiching around the background papers and cut the round shapes using Spellbinders.

I added some Viva Pearl Drops to the flourish stickers (it's hard to see) amd misted the cut out above
I also misted the card background, hand cut the butterfly's from the patterned paper and distressed the edges of the papers.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your day!

May Sketch Comp

This month the sketch over at My Creative Sketches looks like this

Here is my take using papers from the Meadowlark Collection from Prima

Gorgeous soft, girly colours. Some pieces are inked and popped up

Here is another layout l did recently

These papers are from Webster's. I cut out lots of flower cupcakes, did a bit of masking and added pearls drops around the journal cards.

Thanks for looking
