Having Fun

I really enjoy getting dressed up for a night out and the layout l am sharing today is my daughter and her friend doing exactly this.
Not only are they having 'FUN' l had fun creating this as well

To create my background l first used a stencil and paste and once dry built up the colour using Gelatos
Over this l added stamping and finally white splatters using watered down gesso

I built up layers under my photo with paper, die cuts and lace
For the chipboard flower and the 'fun' circle- l covered with gesso then embossed with Aged Rose Embossing Enamel.
The diamond chipboard l painted in a metallic gold
I scattered seed beads and glitter glass around the photo

I finished with more white splatters, this time using paint

Thanks for looking and enjoy your day:)

Today l am sharing a layout using bits & pieces  - paints, liquid pearls, buttons, felt, flowers, chipboard stickers - all those things we have in our 'stash'

And some close ups

I simply created layers on black cardboard
I embossed  a chip board flower, cut it in 2 and placed under the corner of my pic

Starting from the Same Place Big Reveal

Today's Big Reveal

It's exciting to be a part of this awesome group!

I was invited to take part in a challenge with a group of ladies from around the world.
How could l say no!!

See all the craftiness HERE

This consisted of receiving a mixed bag of goodies and creating something using all the 'BITS'.
Thank you to the sponsors - BEACON ADHESIVES, AMAZING CASTING PRODUCTS and STENCIL GIRL

These ladies are so creative and l felt way out of my league at first, as l wanted to challenge myself and try something 'NEW'

However l ended up doing what l do, and that is scrapbooking. Instead of a layout on paper l made a canvas.

Here are the mystery elements l had to begin with

There was fabric, felt, a stencil, chipboard pieces, electrical resisters, resins and more.

This is what l finished up with

Here are some closeups and my process

I used the stencil on the background of the canvas adding texture paste. Once dry l added inks and water to achieve the washy effect l was after.
Then l splashed black ink over the top. I added some stamping effects with a chipboard cog piece that l inked in black
The chipboard cog wheel l covered in orange sand texture paste, stuck the small resisters on top and added the string.
I also stenciled over the felt and once dry l cut it into strips and layered under my photo.

The paper with a word on it - l simply tore and inked the edges.
Another piece of fabric l frayed, this is under the top of my photo
The flower is a resin - l used a metallic paint and added seed beads.
The leaf was hand cut from some of the fabric
The resister was glued above the flower
There is also a chipboard cog - l covered in yellow sand paste
The view master disc is poking out from the bottom of my pic

Here is another small resin that l painted. Also included were some clear bubbles that l have stuck on the background.

A BIG thank you to Tina who put everything together, you are an inspiration to the world of all things CRAFT!

Organised by the very creative TINA, you can check out her blog HERE and see all the other creations!
