Half way through the school holidays, time is going too quickly.
Having five Mondays in September means an extra week to play along over at
Lets Get Sketchy.
This weeks theme is a layout of yourself. I had to hunt high and low to find a picture as l'm the one taking the photos and never in them!

Anyway here it is

Once again l have used a kit that l got through My Creative Scrapbook. This is the current kit and it is filled with lots of goodies from My Mind's Eye. The flowers are an extra that l had in my stash. I have popped my photo and some of the embellishments.
Here are some close ups

There is no sketch to follow this week, its purely free style.
Come on over and check out what the DT has done.

Monday, 22 September 2014

Good afternoon everyone. Today is the start of school holidays for 2 weeks, which means no morning rush, yippee! Last night we had a party for my daughters Sweet 16th birthday so we are all a bit tired today.

I'm up this week over at Lets Get Sketchy. The current sketch is by the lovely Bev Code and uses 3 photos. Here is my take

I have used papers from Maja Design, flowers from Prima, stamps from Technique Tuesday, tags from Maya Road and lettering from Doodlebug.
I slightly curled the top left corner of a PP, all edges are inked.
I have added some hand stitching over the tags and on two sides of the background paper.
Here is the sketch to follow
I hope you can join us this week :)

Playing along at Stuck!

I found some free time, or rather l made some time away from work, and played around with the current sketch over at Stuck!

Here is my take

Papers and embellishments are from a kit l bought through Frosted Designs. This is the first time l have bought one of their kits and it was full of goodies.
I have misted the background with Chalkboard glimmer mist and then added my layers. The lettering l had in my stash and l added some liquid pearls to some of the paper strips for a bit of added texture.

Here are some close ups

Spring is here! Every day l wake to the smell of Jasmine that is growing along the fence, it really has a beautiful perfume.

This week there is a new sketch up at Lets Get Sketchy by the talented Laura Whitaker.
Here is my take
I have masked the circle shapes and inked once dry. The cute little chipboard owl is from Prima and l inked this as well.
Here are a couple of close ups

This is the sketch to follow, l hope you can play along:
