Let's Get Sketchy Sketch

I absolutely love this weeks sketch at Let's Get Sketchy.

I used a couple of cute older photos of my daughter and really like the end result
I kept pretty close to the the sketch and here is my layout

I have inked all the papers and used a border punch on on of the middle papers.
The big @ l have inked in pink and popped up different elements on the page.
The papers are all from MME and embellishments from Pink Paislee
The butterfly is in a hand made vellum envelope

Here are a couple of close ups

Here is the sketch to follow. Come on over and join us this week. Remember there are always great prizes to be won!

Guest Designer at Stuck!

I would like to thank Laura for having me as this weeks guest designer at Stuck!
Her sketches are always inspiring to use!
This is the current sketch

Here is my take
I have used papers from Prima - Anna Marie Collection. I have added some texture paste to a mask at the bottom of the layout and then inked over the top once it was dry.
Along the top l have added liquid pearls to my paper strip.

Here are a couple of close ups

I hope you have the time to play along with this sketch, Laura always has great prizes to be won. Come on over to Stuck! and check it out.

Hi there

Today brings a new weekly sketch over at Lets Get Sketchy and here is my layout.

For this page l used a cardstock base to which l painted gesso over and added a couple of stamped images.

Then l added another PP with punched edges, used a mask and impasto medium and swhen dry, sprayed over the top with yellow.
I used papers that l had in my stash, distressed the edges and layered them over the top

I popped a couple of embellishments and added 2 hand stitched circles.

I hope you can come over and play along with us this week.
Here is the sketch to follow

Couple of layouts

Hi there, today l have a couple of layouts that were in the
Lets Get Sketchy Get Inspired Magazine

The first one was based on using a 'not so perfect' photo

As l like to do, l used a variety of techniques on this layout - distressed edges, a border punch, masking and inking.
This photo was taken a few years ago when we visited the Bundaburg Rum factory.

My second layout was to sew on the page

I added hand stitching to the pink dot paper and the title paper. Distressed edges again and a border punch were used- l can't seem to get away from those messy edges!

Anyway this is a quick post before l have to go to work.
Enjoy your day!
